Our humble beginnings saw us open from the dining room of our founder's parents' home, before growing to become a recognised name in our sector, supplying industry-leading services and solutions.

We are proud of our excellent customer service, underpinned by trained staff with superb product knowledge.

We specialise in providing lighting equipment alongside bespoke studio builds. We are also the exclusive UK supplier of Orbitvu and Profoto e-commerce studio solutions.

OUR OWN OFFICES

Bruton

It quickly became evident that, in order to grow the business, AJ's needed permanent premises.

Although Bruton is a historic rural town, it has excellent transport connections via its mainline railway station and major road links, making it the ideal home for AJ's.

Having built a strong reputation in the trade, AJ's took the next step by becoming an official Profoto supplier. In fact, we were the first independent reseller to offer Profoto in the UK.

The infinity-cove modular solution from Cove-Lock.

Acquired from Manfrotto in 2015, Cove-Lock is an industry-leading name synonymous with infinity coves.

Because it is modular, Cove-Lock helps your studio adapt for the future. Made from high-quality fibreglass (GRP), the system simply bolts together, meaning today's cove can be relocated and resized with ease.

This makes it ideal for universities and larger businesses where relocation or expansion may take place in the future.

HIGLIDE ACQUISITION

In 2017, AJ's acquired Bowens HiGlide. Designed in the late 1970s, it provides high-quality, highly reliable ceiling-tracking systems for suspending photographic and video lighting.

Our systems increase usable shooting space and transform studios into more efficient working environments by removing the need for stands and reducing ground clutter.

HiGlide also provides incredible flexibility. Lights, accessories and backdrops can be suspended and positioned with minimal effort, exactly where they are needed — helping users make the best use of studio space while improving workplace safety.

After 30 years in the trade, one of our proudest moments was being appointed the official UK reseller for Profoto e-commerce studio solutions.
