The Manfrotto ONE Video Aluminium Tripod with 502X Fluid Head combines Manfrotto's next-generation professional video tripod with the more advanced 502X Fluid Video Head, creating a highly versatile support system for professional mirrorless and compact camcorder configurations.

Designed for videographers working both on location and in the studio, the system combines fast deployment through XTEND Technology, rapid equipment changes using the XCHANGE Quick Release System, integrated levelling and the smooth, continuously adjustable pan and tilt control of the 502X head.

XTEND Technology – designed around speed

ONE Video's XTEND Technology has been developed specifically to reduce the time required to deploy and adjust the tripod.

Its customised non-round aluminium leg sections are designed to provide greater rigidity and control, combining rapid adjustment with the stability required for professional camera movement.

For location videographers in particular, this means less time spent adjusting the support and more time available for shooting.

XCHANGE – one support, multiple configurations

Manfrotto's XCHANGE Quick Release System allows compatible heads, sliders and accessories to be changed in seconds.

Rather than tying the tripod permanently to one configuration, XCHANGE allows the support system to be adapted as production requirements change – particularly useful for videographers moving between tripod, slider and other support configurations during the same shoot.

Integrated levelling mechanism

ONE Video incorporates an in-built levelling mechanism, allowing precise alignment with the horizon to be achieved quickly.

For video production this is particularly important when panning, as even a small levelling error can become increasingly visible as the camera moves through its arc.

The integrated system therefore provides a faster way of achieving an accurately levelled head without repeatedly altering individual leg lengths.

502X Fluid Head with 8kg payload

Where the 500X system is intended for lighter configurations, the MKONEVA-502X increases the safety payload to 8kg and introduces Manfrotto's Variable Continuous Fluid Drag System.

Both pan and tilt resistance can therefore be progressively adjusted to suit the camera configuration and desired movement, providing considerably greater control over the character and speed of camera movement.

Switchable 4.4kg counterbalance

The 502X features a 4.4kg ON/OFF Counterbalance System at a 55mm centre of gravity.

Being able to disengage the counterbalance is particularly useful with lightweight mirrorless configurations, while engaging it provides additional support and control as the camera rig becomes heavier.

This is one of the significant improvements Manfrotto has made over the original 502, which used a fixed counterbalance system.
