The Manfrotto ONE Video Aluminium Tripod with 500X Fluid Head is a professional video support system designed for videographers who need to work quickly without sacrificing stability or precise camera control. Combining Manfrotto's new ONE Video aluminium tripod with XTEND Technology and the compact 500X Fluid Head, it provides a highly portable system for mirrorless cameras and smaller camcorders, whether working in the studio or on location.

Developed specifically for professional video production, ONE Video brings together fast tripod deployment, integrated levelling and Manfrotto's XCHANGE Quick Release System, reducing the amount of time spent adjusting equipment or changing between support configurations.

XTEND Technology – faster set-up, greater stability

At the heart of the ONE Video tripod is Manfrotto's XTEND Technology, designed to allow the legs to be deployed and adjusted quickly so the operator can spend less time setting up and more time shooting.

Rather than using conventional round leg sections, Manfrotto has developed a customised non-round leg profile. This provides increased rigidity and control while maintaining the portability expected from a system intended for location work.

The result is a tripod designed around three priorities: speed, reduced downtime and maximum stability.

XCHANGE Quick Release System

The ONE Video incorporates Manfrotto's XCHANGE Quick Release System, allowing compatible heads, sliders and accessories to be swapped in seconds.

This makes considerably more sense in a working production environment than simply thinking of the tripod and head as a permanently fixed combination. A videographer can rapidly reconfigure the support system as the requirements of the shoot change, without unnecessarily dismantling the camera rig.

Integrated levelling

An in-built levelling mechanism allows the operator to establish a level horizon quickly without repeatedly adjusting individual tripod legs.

This is particularly valuable for video, where an incorrectly levelled head becomes immediately apparent during a pan. Manfrotto has designed the system to make accurate alignment quick and straightforward, helping reduce set-up time on location.

Manfrotto 500X Fluid Head

The supplied 500X Fluid Head is designed for lighter mirrorless and compact video configurations and offers a 5kg safety payload.

Its counterbalance system can be switched ON or OFF, with 2.4kg counterbalance at a 55mm centre of gravity. This provides useful support when required while allowing the counterbalance to be disengaged for lighter camera configurations.

The 500X uses a fixed Fluid Drag System, making this the lighter and simpler of the two ONE Video systems.
