The Pro-B3 delivers an impressive 750 Ws of pure battery-driven flash power, providing more than enough lighting strength to create any effect, regardless of where your work takes you. But the Pro-B3 doesn’t stop there. It also offers fast recycling times ranging from 0.01 to 2.3 seconds, and an extremely short flash duration down to 1/75,000s for capturing crisp action shots without motion blur. “The unique combination of features that the Pro-B3 brings ensures that you will always get that perfect shot, says Göran Marén, Product Manager.”

Light Shaping Tool Compatibility

The Profoto Pro-B3 is compatible with all 100 mm Profoto light shapers, including larger and heavier LST's such as the RFi 4x6’ softbox. The Pro-B3 is a flat-fronted light meaning that light shapers designed to be optimised for protruded heads are not recommended.

What trigger do I need to use with the Profoto Pro-B3?

What type of photography is the Profoto Pro-B3 best used for?

The Pro-B3 has been designed with the demands of extreme sports photography in mind. It is best suited to be used as an on-location light, whether that's halfway up a rugged mountain or attached to the rigging of a speedboat. You'll get up to 250 full power flashes from a fully charged battery, plus the battery can be plugged in to a mains socket whilst being used, allowing you to trickle charge it as and when you can.

Also, thanks to Profoto's seamless product integration the Pro-B3 can be taken in to a studio environment and used alongside any of the current Profoto flashes. Meaning you could use the Pro-B3 alongside the Pro-D3, Pro-11, B10X, A2 and A10 should you need to mix and match you lights to get the shot.

Can the Profoto Pro-B3 overpower the sun?

Yes! Pack your sunglasses because this light is bright! With 750Ws of power at your disposal the Pro-B3 will easily overpower the sun enabling you to craft the perfect shot.
