HiGlide Braked Double Carriage With Single Brake
HiGlide Double Carriage (BW-2620)
The Double Carriage with single Brake will stay locked in position and should be used at least one per rail to rail connection to ensure the 'floating movable rails' stay in their desired position. The HiGlide Braked Double Carriage allows two rails to be attached while still allowing full movement between them.
Features
- Double Pivotable Carriage with 4x Roller Wheels
- Compatible With Any HiGlide System
- Heavy Duty Design
- Made in the UK
- Max load 50kg
All HiGlide Rails have the same profile, meaning this Braked Double Carriage will attach to any genuine Bowens HiGlide System. Being pivotable this double carriage is used to 'link' the 'moveable floating rails' to the static 'fitted ceiling rails' to provide full movement, be that forward, backwards, or twisting on the diagonal.
NOTE: Floating movable rails should be locked with one Double Brake Carriage to stop lateral movement, but still allowing forwards, backwards and pivotable movements. This is done to stop rails sliding and hitting walling, and or curtains. Where a 'fixed support rail' crosses a ‘floating movable rail’ a double carriage is required, found here.
If floating rails are allowed to move from side to side the user could end up with a unsafe load over one end of the rail. Whereas, if installed correctly the rail overhang should be no more than 500mm (50cm) each side. This braked carriage stops this lateral movement and keeps the cantilever at this safe working load limit of 500mm.
